Catalina Pincheira

PROJECT GEOLOGIST / UNIVERSIDAD DE MAYOR

Catalina has worked as a geologist doing paleontological and geological baselines  for enviromental assesment (“EIA”/”DIA”) in various industries such as mining, construction, energy among others . Also has experience in paleontological monitoring.

She did her bachelor’s degree thesis about the regional geology of the Mesozoic in the San Vicente de Tagua Tagua area using stratigraphy, sedimentary and igneous petrology, paleontology and geochemistry of cretaceous intrusive rocks, including geological mapping at a regional scale.

As an undergrad student she was apointed as an assistant professor in the areas of field geology, sedimentary petrography and stratigraphy. Aditionally, she has worked as  an assistant professor in the areas of field geology and detailed stratigraphy at Universidad Mayor.
